Old Lyonians 3rd team played Broomfield 3rd team away at football and lost 3 goals to 1 after a very spirited second half performance but we started far too slowly and found ourselves 2 nil down within 20 minutes.
After that we were chasing the game.

With the rain over the last few weeks a number of football matches had to be called off due to water logged pitches so it was no surprise to find out that Old Lyonians 4th team had to play a “double-header”, 2 games in one afternoon. Each game was 1 hour long with a 10 minute break between. We lost both games 3 -1 which put a major dent in our prospects of promotion to the division above. We didn't have any “Subs” and this made played for 2 hours every difficult for all 10 out-field players. I also managed to pull a muscle in my right leg which I hope wouldn't turn out to be serious. I'll have to wait and see.

Completed the 3.5 mile route today in 30 minutes, 40.81 seconds. The pulled muscle I suffered at the weekend after I had played a football “double-header” made running difficult so I did not sprint at the end of the run as I would normally do.

Ran the 3.5 mile route with Steve as usual and completed it in 29 minutes, 41.97 seconds. This is the first time I have managed to run under 30 minutes for the 3.5 mile route. The pulled muscle in my right leg didn't hurt at all so I was all to run normally and sprint at the end as well. The human body is a wonderful creation and just another example of God's hand.
